Delaware Ohio Pride is accepting applications for new board members. Apply by answering the questions below and sending your responses to delawareohiopride@gmail.com by Jan. 7, 2023. It’s not required, but also feel free to include any additional information you would like us to know about you in considering your application (e.g., resume, portfolio, marketing materials, etc.).  

 

Background

Delaware Ohio Pride’s purpose is to create a safe, diverse, and inclusive environment for the LGBTQ+ and Allied members of Delaware County. We organize programs and events that provide resources and education about LGBTQ+ topics. We partner with and promote local businesses and organizations that support the LGBTQ+ community.

The board meets every four weeks (sometimes virtually), although frequency increases to every two weeks in January with the extra monthly meeting devoted to planning the Pride Festival. Besides attending board meetings, board members are expected to complete tasks between meetings, including updating the DOP website and posting on social media; hosting a booth at First Fridays in downtown Delaware and other events; planning and organizing future events; representing the LGBTQ+ community at public meetings; meeting with other local LGBTQ+ organizations; working with GSAs at Delaware schools; and various other responsibilities. Board membership is for a three-year term.
