Volunteer

Delaware Ohio Pride is accepting applications for volunteers.  It’s not required, but feel free to include any additional information you would like us to know about you in considering your application (e.g., resume, portfolio, marketing materials, etc.).  

 

Background:

Delaware Ohio Pride’s purpose is to create a safe, diverse, and inclusive environment for the LGBTQ+ and Allied members of Delaware County. We organize programs and events that provide resources and education about LGBTQ+ topics. We partner with and promote local businesses and organizations that support the LGBTQ+ community.

 

Volunteer Duties:

Besides attending volunteer meetings, volunteers are expected to help with events, including the DOP Pride Festival, First Fridays in downtown Delaware, sponsored drag shows, and planning and organizing other future events as needed.

Volunteers are also expected to abide by the DOP Volunteer Code of Conduct.

Types of volunteers:

We have different levels of volunteers to suite your time commitments.

​

• Events Volunteer: Helping with special or recurring events

 

• DOP Events/Social Committee Member: Helping plan and organize events (4-6 hours a month)

 

• DOP Education/Outreach Committee Member: Helping educate the public on LGBTQ+ issues and presenting (4-6 hours a month)
